Just got these today, so I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but first impressions are great. The fit is spot on and the material feels high quality. They look like a nice pair of everyday shorts, but have the versatility to handle swimming, hiking, or even a casual dinner near the beach. Really solid all-around option so far.

I don't think I ordered the 5.5" but that's what showed up. They are crazy short and I'm unable to return them. So double-check what you receive before you put them on and beware that 5.5" are daisy dukes. hoochie daddy shorts. I'm out $80 and these shorts are off to Goodwill on Fire Island.

Hands down, the best shorts on the market. I've been searching for "short" shorts for awhile now. They're called shorts for a reason. I grew up in the 80's with cut-off jorts that I still rock to this day. I've tried Bear Bottom and Cove, and ditched them for Wowie. I now own 10 pairs of Wowie. They fit better, they stretch more and the soft elastic waist band is top tier all day comfort. #MakeShortsShortAgain #MagnumPI Wowie, please offer a 4" inseam and let's get back to rocking the 1970s and 1980s. Customer for life.

Seems like well designed and made shorts so far. I wish the legs were a little baggier or the fabric a little stretchier. Feels tight when sitting, crossing legs etc. I’m a lot more comfortable in the prana shorts from rei with the built in belt. I haven’t found better shorts than those and I’ve tried prob 15 brands. If i could change anything else it would be the drawstring. It’s tedious to undo when you really have to go. Might work better with some kind of bungie cord with a quick release button like you find on rain jacket hoods.

If you like Wowie’s Nomad short but want something you can wear golfing or to a Hawaiian wedding, these are your shorts! Same awesome, stretchy, durable material, just with a button and zipper fly and belt loops. I did pop a strich in the crotch the first outing, I think the stretch doesn’t quite include seams, but I sewed it up and it’s ready to roll again! This is my 12th pair of Wowies, and I have to say the new v3 Series are the best shorts I’ve ever worn!
